Intrepid Ibex reached end-of-life on 30 April 2010 so I am closing the
report. The bug has been fixed in newer releases of Ubuntu.

Hi Marc,
Here's a quirk patch for Intrepid. The Jaunty kernel doesn't look to be
quite ready for patches yet but I'll be sure to submit this for Jaunty
when the kernel is ready. I'll probably ask you to help test Jaunty
with this patch as well. Thanks.

I have confirmed that the problem persists even on the installed system,
which also stalls when issuing the reboot command. However, adding the
reboot=b kernel option fixes the problem.
