Hello,
Eventually got it working. Due to trial and (lots of) error mostly.
Attached is my working xorg.conf. The screen resolution is now at
1680x1050 at 60hz (according to System -> Preferances -> Screen
Resolution).
I believe this is still a bug as this should all be sorted out
automatically. I
xorg.conf if needed.
