am running ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid ibex) and can't resume from suspend or
hibernate.
and when i shutdown the ubuntu splash screen doesn't show up, instead
weird artifacts fill up my screen.. lines flashing horizontally and
vertically. this was observed after installing the nvidia driver 177.8.
but even without the nvidia driver, i can't still hibernate or suspend
am also in an acer aspire 4520
turion 64x2
3G ram
nvidia 7000M
[before any suspend/hibernation]
