Great to see this being worked on!!! I have 0.8.1 installed on mine
because I built it from source and that worked great. Looking forward

Yes, I confirm it for Jaunty but it's fixed with dvd-slideshow version
0.8.2, but it still needs libavcodec-unstripped-52 (51 for Intrepid) to
be installed.
Putting it as a dependence of dvd-slideshow fixes the bug.

In a clean Intrepid install, for example, I get the same error even with
the new package (0.8.2) installed.

Installing ubuntu-restricted-extra fixes the bug because it replaces
libavcodec51 with libavcodec-unstripped-51.
libavcodec51 is a dependence of ffmpeg that installs it by default (as
other packages).
But ffmpeg dependence is libavcodec51 OR

I can confirm this error! This is very annoying, and seems to be a dvd-
slideshow error see here: http://dvd-
slideshow.sourceforge.net/wiki/Changelog_0.8.1
Please Please Please get the 8.1 version into the repos as soon as it is
released. I think this will fix the problem.
