This seems to be a known issue upstream. KDE bug 163413 seems the same
as what we have here. Particularly comment 11

OK I misunderstood the initial report. I thought the issue was the wallet
closing
I did not check any of these option, once i open it, it won't close
automatically.

Thanks for reporting this. This is a bit speculative but it could be
settings related. If you right click on the Kwallet systray icon and
choose 'Configure KWallet' then there is a checkbox for 'Close when
unused for X min'. Do either of you have this box checked?

Yes it is checked. But I think this is the whole point of this wallet
that it doesn't have to stay open (and present my passwords to
everybody) all the time.

I only have Close when sreensaver starts enabled, no other option from
Close Wallet is enabled.
