This has been fixed in Debian (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-

At this point, it isn't worth the hassle. I'll stick with Microsoft
Money until installation of a fully functional KMyMoney is more
straightforward.
Thanks for your assistance but, as a Linux novice, it's more than I want
spend time on right now.

You have to have the required dependencies to see the Online Banking menu.
For OFX, that includes OpenSP and some others.

The package from Clay Weber does not appear to have the ofx support

Thanks for your help, Hei.
I'm currently looking into this (by using --enable-ofxbanking
--enable-ofxplugin), but the build fails as follows:
make[8]: *** No rule to make target `kmm_ofximport.rc', needed by `all-am'.
Stop.
make[8]: Leaving directory
`/tmp/buildd/kmymoney2-0.9.2/obj-i486-linux
It does not fix the problem because the main package has been built
without that support. For OFX to work, it should be built with the
--enable-ofx flag and the libofx and lib-osp packages should be
required.

Yes I tried that before filing the bug. It does not work.
Please note that this worked in Fiesty and Hardy. It should still work
in Intrepid. If this is a Debian bug then please forward it to the
appropriate people/website.

KMyMoney Debian package is built without online banking support. Ubuntu
package is taken from that one, so you will not have online banking if
you install from Ubuntu repositories.
One of our users provides a PPA that you can install from, here:
