@thomas-launchpad-2 I see the same problem again with an Olympus LS10 on 14.10. As you describe - removing the SD card allows the system to mount the internal drive. With the card in only the card is mountable from the UI. Disk utility lists both and both can be manually mounted on the command

I am using Ubuntu 14.04 and I have the same problem when I plug an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder DS-5000. The Voice Recorder has an internal memory of 1GB. Additionally the recorder has an SD-Card Slot. When I connect the recorder to my pc via usb with an additional SD-Card inserted, syslog
