A similar error occurs when attempting to use the Ubuntu rapidsvn
install with the latest 1.7.8 SVN (Wandisco).
Rapidsvn terminates with three unresolved libraries:
/usr/lib/libsvn_subr-1.so.1
/usr/lib/libsvn_client-1.so.1
/usr/lib/libsvn_wc-1.so.1
I was able to "resolve" this by creating links:
(Previous is with Ubuntu V12.10).

As this bug occurred approximately a year ago, seems to have been solved
to the original reporter's satisfaction, and there is insufficient
information to hint at the root cause, I am closing it. Please reopen it

libsvn1: /usr/lib/libsvn_client-1.so.1.0.0
libsvn1: /usr/lib/libsvn_client-1.so.1
Or even:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache show sub
That immediately fixed the problem, thanks.
Should this have been a dependent package in some way?
Apart from guessing from the name, how could I know that this was the
package causing the problem to avoid this problem in future?

Can you try a reinstallation for this package: libsvn1 ? This is the
package that contains the /usr/lib/libsvn_client-1.so.1 library.
