That's interesting, because this value is not static - it's computed on
the fly by looking at how much space /usr on the live filesystem needs.
This should be quite accurate, although it probably wouldn't hurt to add
a bit of a fudge factor for filesystems other than /.

It would seem that ~1.7GiB is sufficient for /usr, but would recommend
at least 2GiB.
