Hi Yossi You you need kde4.2+ (from backports) on intrepid/8.10 to use it. If you get a chance to test it on either jaunty or on intrepid+kde4.2 and kile from the ppa then please do and report back. If you have a live-cd with jaunty you can boot on that one and install kile and test. -- Wrong fi

I finally managed to compile 2.02. It turns out that Kile needs the kdelibs4-dev pakcage so you need to sudo apt-get install kdelibs4-dev The older KDE libraries which I installed were not sufficient, and conused the ./configure script. Installing the newer version will remove these old
