I guess we should close it too. Inkscape crashes in a very particular situation and if this report had not much followups, maybe it's not that frequent. Since Ubuntu guys don't think it's worth to fix cairo for Hardy and the bug is caused by Cairo, maybe the offending feature should be disabled
