Public bug reported: In intrepid package bashdb depends on bash (>= 3.1) and emacsen-common. However, none of the .el scripts in the package seem to be needed for bashdb to run normally.
I installed the package and deleted the following files: /usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/install/bashdb /usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/remove/bashdb /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50bashdb.el /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/bashdb/bashdb.el After that, bashdb still worked as expected. When the scripts are not needed, emacsen isn't needed as well. Package bashdb should recommend installation of emacsen-common or emacs but not require its installation.
