Gah. Apparently this bug refused to go away until I reported, at which
time it immediately disappeared. I guess switching mirrors fixed it
somehow.
I can only assume that my sources.list became "corrupted" somehow, so
that it appeared valid to apt, but not valid to the automatic parser
that Synapt
