Hi. I have attached this.
But please notice that i have reformatted my computer and i have run
lspci -vvnn on another distro!
However the hardware is excactly the same.

Adjusting the package to fglrx-installer. fglrx-installer needs to
check for older versions that are registered in it's postinst and clean
them up before going on.

Same issue on update from 8.04 - 8.10. Solved with Håvard and Eric's
tips:
sudo rm -r /var/lib/dkms/fglrx/*
sudo apt-get remove fglrx*
downloaded ATi's latest installer from their site
sudo ./ati-driver-installer-8-12-x86.x86_64.run
reboot
Interestingly enough, EnvyNG, which setup my X1300
I was able to fix the issue of multiple entries of fglrx in DKMS by
following the steps in the following page: http://doc.ubuntu-
fr.org/ati.run
Basically, you delete all instances of fglrx and you re-install the ati
drivers.

Exact same problem here with Intrepid while updating to kernel
2.6.27-9-generic 64 bits on an Acer computer with an Athlon64/Opteron
and an ATI RS690 [Radeon X1200 Series] graphics card.
Since the update, Ubuntu us functioning in low graphics mode. fglrxinfo
reports BadRequest.
I unfortunately
you can find it in : /var/log/apt/term.log :)
