Public bug reported: My Dell Vostro 1710 has two mic inputs - a normal mic jack and a built- in microphone on the top of the screen. The jack input works, but the built-in does not. Tried with stock configuration and with model=dell module option (using snd-hda-intel driver).
In the Gnome volume control "Options" tab, a "Front Mic" source is displayed in the Input Source dropdown, but selecting it has no effect.
