This bug report was marked as Triaged a while ago but has not had any
updated comments for quite some time. Please let us know if this issue
remains in the current Ubuntu release,

Hi Robert,
When you get a chance, could you also attach an updated dmesg output
using the latest 2.6.31-10 based Karmic kernel after you experience the
trackpad disconnecting? I'd just like to see what the current error
messages being printed are. Thanks!

I am using intrepid.
No specific steps that I know of, just use my laptop a lot and every now
and then the mouse freezes, checking in dmesg shows what I pasted.
I did notice (once!) that when I went to the NetworkManager applet and
selected 'disable wireless' the disconnect/reconnect trackpad
