should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that
affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be
addressed as part of this project.

Well, I did. The way it works is this:
1. start downloading video files with Transmission
2. visit destination folder -- it fill force nautilus to fail to create
thumbnails, because file are not yet downloaded.

This is not a 'paper cut' because it is not something a user is likely
to encounter first day using Ubuntu.

You can open a new bug but since thumbnail works just fine for 95% of
users that's not a hundredpapercut bug but just something not working
correctly with your configuration or a corn
Hi Sebastien.
The comments in the bug suggest that the update should be automatic so I
added this bug instead of creating a new one. I agree that the major point
is getting the thumbnail to work correctly is the main issue - and I must

Just added this to hundredpapercuts.
Note to the User Experience and Design team: This should be automatic by

This is definitely an annoying bug, and I agree that some sort of "Force
thumbnails" option should be added to nautilus eventually.
However, as a work around in the mean time:
Open a terminal window
type:
cd ~/.thumbnails
rm -r /fail/*

the refresh should be automatic for those files that not have a thumb yet.
changing the folder name that contain those files, infact, magically the thumbs
appear. But renaming back the folder, everything is lost. Very annoying bug.
