This bug does go away if I disable desktop effects - which obviously is
not a solution.

I'm using Intrepid with a radeon X700 Pro and radeon drivers.
I've recently experienced a X freeze with Xorg being stuck in some XAA
related methods.
It happened randomly after opening the gnome calendar from the

I've just experienced another hang. Like last time, Xorg consumed 100% cpu ,
mouse cursor was still movable and amarok continued playing creakly.
Like last time, the hang occured in exaCopyDirty but this time another method
named RADEON was involved.
I still have Intrepid installed ;)
