Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mythtv
Happened again--this is the second time, the other bug report number is 307367 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/307367 Did not report this in the other one, sorry: 1) Ubuntu 8.10 (other desktops are installed Kubuntu, UbuntuStudio, and Xubuntu, oh and Mythbuntu) running in GDE 2) Not certain, using MCC to install "Primary Backend" from "No backend" 3) Ummm... 4) It crashed :( I still have not figured out how to get this to work. I was having trouble switching it from "Secondary Backend" to "Primary Backend" so I uninstalled using Synaptic everything with "mythtv" and "mysql" (which did not force removal of dependencies) in the name. Then searched and deleted all folders and files with the name "mythtv" using "gksudo nautilus" and search. Rebooted Reinstalled Mythbuntu with http://mythbuntu.org/download/getmythbuntu.php (this was successful) Then opened MCC and tried to change to "Primary Backend" from "No Backend" It is late and I am very tired. Will try to figure out what I can do to fix this tomorrow with your help. Thanks. For your amuzement, I have attached the Mythbuntu Error logs file to this bug.
