Public bug reported:

I'm running the lpia build of Ubuntu from ports.ubuntu.com. software-
properties (-gtk) doesn't recognize this as a valid Ubuntu repository,
however, and so under "Ubuntu Software" all checkboxes are left empty.
If I check any of these boxes, it will add the mirrors to my
sources.list, however since these mirrors do not contain the lpia
architecture, I just get a bunch of errors when I update. I realize the
ports repository isn't "official" however it would be nice if there was
a way to support them, perhaps changing the text that reads "Canonical
supported" to something else for ports. I'm sure this will be more of
an issue as use of lpia (specifically Atom powered netbooks) increases,
but it also affects sparc and PPC users.

** Affects: software-properties (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
