Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
When altering a value in the "Format>Bullets & Numbering" dialog window, the Enter key closes the window (as expected) but the altered value is not actioned. To cause the new value to be actioned, the mouse must be used to explicitly press the "OK" key, or the tab key must be used to explicitly shift focus to the "OK" key. Compare this behavior with the "Format>Paragraph" dialog window, which does accept the altered value when the Enter key is pressed (as expected). I would have thought both dialogs should be consistent. I am using OpenOffice 2.4.1 with Ubuntu 8.04.
