Filtatos, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
I think, it is fixed by now (at least the latest Natty daily build seems
to be fine).

I really have no idea why this has status fix committed. I just
upgraded to from intrepid to jaunty and this one is still open. The
workaround helped, btw.

I recently experienced the same bug when updating the kernel on my
gentoo-box. I traced the problem to the official kernel patch 2.6.27.9 (your
-11-version seems to be ubuntu-specific, since 2.6.27.11 doesn't exist on
