My colleagues at work using Lucid were suffering from this bug when
accessing the SVN of a client. So I built maverick's subversion package
(1.6.12dfsg-1ubuntu1) for Lucid, and installed it on their machines, and
the problem got fixed.

This will be a regression for users that upgrade Hardy -> Lucid, but I
don't have a good suggestion on what to do about it in the short term.
I don't think it can be fixed before release.

This was fixed in 1.6.11 upstream. I looked and did not find a clear
patch to a low risk path, so I don't think we can cherry pick something
for Lucid. It'll have to wait for Maverick. Once 1.6.11 gets into
Maverick, we can look at backports.

Is there any chance of some action on this? This is an absolute blocker
on my moving to Ubuntu. Even downgrading client to 1.4 would do.
