I would like to request a new package be included in Jaunty: h5py
(http://h5py.alfven.org/). h5py is a python package for working with
hdf5 files. It can be used with hdf5-1.6.x, but I would like to request
that it be used with hdf5-1.8 in order to enable a number of important
h5py features (like resizing datasets). I would also like to request a
version that h5py's threading support be enabled.
I requested hdf5-1.8 be included in Jaunty, in Bug #308280. If there is
something more I can do to help, please let me know.
