Did see the issue with XUbuntu 9.04 and earlier, with both Nvidea and ATI cards (both without Compiz). I'm now running a new system (ATI) with a fresh installed Ubuntu 10.04, without Compiz, and issue of autoscroll rendering issues seem to be solved. Has the issue been fixed in 10.04? ** Changed

I also have this problem. Scrolling with mousewheel, up/down-keys or by clicking scrollbar arrows causes tearing of the webpage. Grabbing the scrollbar en scrolling by dragging the mouse works perfectly. This happens on any webpage. Uname -a: Linux dvdw-laptop 2.6.32-22-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu

There were applications that wine couldn't properly emulate so I had to downgrade to Windows. =( If the applications weren't essential to what I do it wouldn't have been an issue. Upgrading system. I'll undoubtibly dual-boot the system windows (10% of drive) and Ubuntu (rest%) I just love Ubuntu s
