Public bug reported: This problem only occurs on Kubuntu 8.04. Tested on multiple machines. There is no problem with machines running Kubuntu 8.10, Ubuntu 8.10, Ubuntu 8.04 and WinXP. Same problem with two separate Kubuntu 8.04 machines.
2.5" Toshiba drive in a small USB powered enclosure. Tried it formatted NTFS and ext3. Doesn't seem to be a mount problem so much as something in the KDE 3.5.10 kio_slave that handles media. USB sticks and self-powered HDDs seem to be handled OK. Seems to be a Kubuntu 8.04 problem with USB powered IDE drives. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- usb hard drive won't mount in kubuntu 8.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/312508 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
