Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I think that this is more of a wish list item but here it goes:

I have seen that neither OOo or MS Office fail to achieve adequate
sorting within Data Pilot (or whatever the equivalent is in MS...don't
use it ever). By "adequate", I mean, in order to sort you are almost
forced to copy and special paste and then manually and then do sort by
column. It would be nice if we could sort within Data Pilot so the
"refresh" options and such still work. I am working on several projects
which require data pilot and none of them are sorted the way that I want
them to be -- all are alphabetical. One of my data pilots consist of
months on the rows and then page numbers on the columns. I'd like to
sort by month but this isn't possible from what I have seen.

I guess as another "sorting" request, it'd be nice to be able to sort by
row as well as column. I've had several instances where I have to adjust
tables and such, swapping rows and columns, because there is no option
to sort by row. Thanks for all the hard work. I can honestly say that
OOo has far surpassed MS and all of us end users appreciate it :)

** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
