Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ekiga
Hallo, I was able to configure ekiga to use a German Softphone provider calles CARPO which has a software which runs on WIN XP and is very good and stable. Useing ekiga on Ubuntu I was makeing calls, but I got connected after long waiting only (more then 1 minute) and when finaly connected, the line was always interupted after 1 minute talking. The Carpo softphone provider recommended a sofphone software for Linux called " Asteriks". Does any one use this softphone and is it worth trying as it is not supported by Ubuntu. I am not an experienced Ubuntu user (2months only) - Kindest regards - JH ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/ekiga Package: ekiga 2.0.12-0ubuntu5 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: ekiga Uname: Linux 2.6.27-9-generic i686 ** Affects: ekiga (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- Ekiga not stable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/313348 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
