Battery preferences in both the scenarios are same. Conky is running in both sessions. With the age of the laptop, now the gap between battery backup available in normal user session and root user session has increased and is some where around 15-20 minutes. Thus normal user still continues to

Hi parag, thanks for the detailed info, that's great. You seem to be doing different things in the root and user sessions, though, like running Firefox. I feel like a 10-20% difference between the sessions could easily be due to different usage styles. Could you run more scientific tests like

Firefox was opened as I was posting the reply on the bug from user 'root'. In general when I freshly login as root I get starting backup of 1 Hour 10 Minutes. If I immediately switch user to normal user I get around - 1 Hour 25 minutes So I don't think Firefox made any major difference. If you
