had same problem with tb 2.0.0.21 on ubuntu intrepid. adjusted
setting in about:config layout.frames.force_resizability to true.
fixed layout issue but still doesn't work with lightning.

I am getting this with Intrepid, and TB version 2.0.0.19 (20090105)
The Prefs window opens with a size which depends upon which tab was
selected when you had it open last. Therefore if you go to a tab with
more info on it, the bottom parts may be missing. How long I searched

I have since upgraded to version 6.10 (Edgy) and it seems the problem is
still there.
My resolution is 1024x768. I tried at 800x600 and didn't notice a change
in behaviour.

OK, can you please attach a screenshot and drop a note what is
configured in
Preferences-Display-Fonts-[Fonts...]-Display Resolution ?
Maybe changing that settings might help? (Note: restarting thunderbird
is needed)
