When you were editing a connection, did the connection name begin with
Auto? If so, could you please try again, except change the name of
the network so that it does not start with Auto.

Thanks for reporting this bug. I think it is a duplicate of bug 284298 .
To save a static connection using network manager, you must first delete
the existing connection.
