I don't think that's why you can't make the window smaller. I think the
window must be that big because of the space demanded by the widgets in
your Details tab. Can you confirm that?
Given that the window must then be that wide, the last list column just
expands to fill the available space.
So
Yes, you are right, last List column expands because the space demanded by
Details. Glom is perfect.
This is not a bug, sorry but I don't known how to remove this.
