* debian/rules: Replace simple-patchsys by quilt.
* debian/control:
- Build-depends on quilt.
- Remove X{B,S}-Python-Version.
- Bump
Patch included should fix the problem.
An updated version will be available in my PPA
(https://launchpad.net/~gilir/+archive/unstable). You need to remove and
recreate the autostarts.

Now I'm sure gdm isn't filling up my .xsession-errors.
Instead this is a screenlets issue. When a screenlet is configured to
start automatically after login, no logfile is specified and its log
messages are added to the .xsession-errors file and not to their
destinated ones.

could you add your .xsession-errors to the bug? when are those messages
displayed exactly? gdm writes to system logs and not to the user one
