Do the slow issues only happen in OpenOffice.org or in other
applications as well? There aren't any known issues with OpenOffice.org
on Gnome that would cause that kind of problem, there is an issue with
KDE that sounds similar but since you aren't running KDE I am not sure
what the problem would
Are you still having this problem? And if so are you running KDE? There
are some known issues with the KDE support that hopefully will be
resolved this next week.
