thank you for the update, the build was complaining about the changelog
tabs, I've changed those to use spaces and uploaded the new revision,
you worked on the changes so no reason to not have your name listed
there

BTW I inserted my name and email in che changelog, but I think it's
worth to put yours.

how did you generate the patch and did you edit it by hand because patch
doesn't success to apply it, also could you mention the patch name in
the changelog and wrap at 78 chars, don't forget to change the status to
new when adding required informations on a bug or it will not be listed
on the spon

the change seems to make sense, could you update the debdiff to not
change the standards versions which is a change not required and not
listed in the changelog and also use the patch system rather than
directly change the source?

that's not really informative, an url to a webpage or bug explaining the
issue and how the diff fix it would be useful, I don't understand what
the change is doing right now and will not sponsor it without details
