the pc that I was trying to get this wifi adapter to work is couple of
generation old - it did not have any wired or wireless adapters; I tried
this dynex pcmcia wifi adapter via a ricoh pci-pcmcia adapter that I had
handy; the results above. this approach was discarded and replaced with
a wired pc
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest Karmic 9.10 release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

first, hardy 64 latest was installed on same hardware - still dynex not
recognized, basically same message as in intrepid
