I have the same problem, the windows are mute!
and although Preferences>> Audio>> Sounds, you rush everything and customize
the sounds that do not feel but the windows remain mute ... and then:
Playing sound effects when buttons are pressed
wrong, it should not be the sound of e-mail notification
