the description suggests that the issue is rather due to the flash
plugin and not to rhythmbox there is some other bugs about that

reading some reports i tried installing audacious; it worked with some
flaws: the music had some hick-ups
after that i tried rhythmbox again and to my surprise it worked fine now
strange but some erratic problem
i'll contact you when it causes another problem in the future ...

which codec did you installed? what rhythmbox says? it just stay at
00:00 or it hangs?
