Invalid bug because it appears to be an issue with awesome's tray
manager and gnome-panel. If I hear anything otherwise you will be
notified.
Ctrl + Modkey + R removes the space, gap, whatever you call it.

Hello. I am using awesometray, part of the awesome window manager
(http://awesome.naquadah.org/). Mist icon theme.
Regarding awesome tray, they claim they use this specification
http://standards.freedesktop.org/systemtray-spec/systemtray-spec-
latest.html.
Some how, I got the error to go away:
Thank you for your bug report. It works fine for me. Are you just using
the standard gnome-panel and notification area there? What icon theme do
you use? What are the other icons to the left of the bluetooth applet?
