The issue can be considered fixed on Lucid even if the whole process of
testing is not much intuitive: you have to switch the little icon, on
the gnome bar, related to the keyboard layout you want to test.

Sebastien, I changed the title and the description of this bug to reflect what
I sayd in gnome-bugs #572463.
I haven't yet tested the issue on jaunty, I will do it as soon as possible.
