This may be a problem with the EDID information the monitor is sending, and
which X is using to set the dpi. It would be great if you could upload
- /var/log/Xorg.0.log (from when you don't use the -dpi 96 option to gdm)
- the output of `lspci -vvnn`
- the output of `xrandr --prop`
- the output o
I solved the problem starting gdm with the option -dpi 96.
It seems that gmd chooses another dpi, meybe because I have a bigger
screen? 1440x900 and in the other laptop 1280x800
