Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

Fresh install of Jaunty Alpha 3. GDM Login screen comes up fine, but
after logging in the desktop hangs. It takes > 1 minute to move from
plain brown splash screen to wallpaper (the Ibex) and then stops.

I cannot restart X (CTRL+ALT+Backspace) although I think that shortcut has been
disabled in Jaunty?
I cannot go to another console via CTRL+ALT+F1
Mouse cursor is responsive until I try to go to a console, upon which it stops.
