i can confirm this bug on my machine.
i have macbook pro, and running a fresh installed ubuntu 10.10
after resume from suspend/hibernate openoffice is very slow with typing and
scrolling.
killing openoffice will help.

I have to retract my last observation. It happened again today on Ubuntu
10.10 64 bits.
The strange thing is that the standard cpu panel indicator is giving a
50% (=100% of one cpu) reading and the systemmonitor does not show
anything in the cpu usage.
The total machine is afterwards very slow. S
Does not happen on Ubuntu 10.10 on my machine (so far).

It happens on my computer with kernel 2.6.32-25 and OpenOffice bulild
9505. Ubuntu 10.04 64 bits.
Close OpenOffice and reload it again to make OpenOffice useble.

Same problem here on a fresh Lucid...
After resume, OOo reacts extremely slow, CPU rises up...
restarting OOo leads to "normal" behaviour...

This Problem also exits after resuming from "Suspend".
I've confirmed, too, that this happens in OOo Spreadsheet as well as Writer.

Tools->Options->OpenOffice.org->View and turn off "Use OpenGL" and turn
off "Use hardware acceleration"?

I'm not sure if this is an OOo bug of some sort or an Xorg issue... As
the user stated that Xorg appeared to be eating most of the CPU that
could potentially be why OOo is scrolling slowly.
