I have the same problem as Alexander Saltykov has. Since low on Swap I
get back to the desktop and get the message. No problems like that when
resuming from Suspend to Ram though.

I tried to hibernate but I were low on swap, and I was thrown back to my kde
session. I've noticed the notification saying Compositing performance was too
slow and has been suspended. You can resume using Alt+Shift+F12 shortcut. I
think I don't see this after suspend/resume because notification
Same problem. After returning from sleep desktop effects are gone.
I have Acer Aspire 5315 with Intel GM965/GL960
I'm using Up-to-date 9.04 distro.
