I'd like to be able to bootstrap more recent and unstable archives from a non-backported hardy too. Also, it would be cool to have the scripts for the upstream debian distributions work too, but maybe that's a bit more complex to fix due to mirror url differences. -- teach pbuilder-dist in hardy

-backports aren't enabled by default. I don't have them, for example and I don't want them. This is a trivial thing to backport. Hardy still has a long time of support before it, I think this should be SRU'd. Given time, I'll try and help the effort. ** Changed in: pbuilder (Ubuntu)
