Does this machine shutdown in the normal case, ie. if you select shutdown from the user-switcher? Could you try the hibernate from VT1, type ctrl-alt-F1, login, and run pm-hibernate. This may give us further messages. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New = In Progress ** Changed
