Public bug reported: It would be nice if Ubuntu packaged the Amazon EC2 API tools <http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/entry.jspa?externalID=368&categoryID=88>.
They depend on a java jre and work with openjdk-6. They are non-free but under a licence <http://aws.amazon.com/asl/> that seems on brief scanning to allow multiverse type distribution.
