A small update on the problem:
I've just noticed that that "visible on all workspaces" disappears (not the
checked option!) when I open/close either a playlist or a equaliser window.

It does NOT work.
At the moment, when I change a different workspace, there's not any audacious.
Even when there's that option "View -> Put on all workspaces" checked!
I need to press on the audacious' window several times and it
works for some time.

This works in Audacious 2.1 Karmic. Right click -> View -> Put on all
workspaces.
Or just Ctrl S.
