Same problem on Asus M3N78-EM SATA HDD Western Digital 320gb Kubuntu 9.04.
All works good, but after sleep (S3 suspend) system can't access to /dev/sda
drive.
If system can wake up without hdd access, all works good to the time that the
system need read something from hdd.
I try the AHCI and
With pci=nomsi kernel option all works good with SATA and ACHI modes
of sata drive!

i can confirm this... same errors on both an intrepid minimal cd
installation and a regular hardy gdm installation
