Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

It is not true that the touchpad scroll does not work at all, but it is
almost completely unusable.

If I try hard I can touch the very side of the touchpad and it will
scroll maybe 1 out of 4 attempts. The other 3 out of 4 times the mouse
cursor moves when I touch the scroll area.

I did not have this problem with 8.04 or 8.10. In those versions the
scroll area of the touchpad was easy to use.

My hardware is a lenovo thinkpad x300.

My OS install was from the ubuntu daily iso from 2009-02-25, but I've
had this problem with an earlier install of 9.04 as well.

xserver-xorg-input-synaptics version installed: 0.99.3-2ubuntu2

** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu)
